White-glove delivery is a $299 upgrade available on every lift chair Selected Comfort sells. To add it, choose White Glove Delivery: Yes (+$299) on the lift chair's product page before you add the chair to your cart. Without the upgrade, lift chairs ship by freight with free standard shipping on eligible US orders, and freight deliveries are generally made to the curbside of your address.

Standard delivery or white-glove delivery: what's the difference?

Standard freight delivery leaves the boxed chair at the curb; white-glove delivery is the in-home option for buyers who can't move a heavy lift chair box into the house themselves. Contact us before you order to confirm exactly what the white-glove service includes for your chair and address.

Who should add white-glove delivery?

Add white-glove delivery if no one at home can safely lift and carry a large lift chair box, if the chair has to go up steps or through a narrow entry, or if you are buying the chair for a parent who lives alone. It matters most for the bigger chairs, such as our large and wide lift chairs and the models in our heavy-duty lift chair guide.

What should I measure before delivery?

  1. Every doorway, hallway and turn between the entry and the room where the chair will sit.
  2. Any steps or stairs on the way in.
  3. The floor space, including the wall clearance the chair needs to recline. Check the dimensions on the product page.
  4. A power outlet within reach of the chair, since power lift chairs plug in.

What happens on delivery day?

  • The carrier contacts you to arrange a delivery appointment, so give a phone number you will answer.
  • Make sure someone is home at the scheduled time; missed appointments can lead to carrier storage or redelivery charges.
  • Inspect the delivery and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, then contact us right away with photos. Our shipping policy has the full steps.
