4D Massage Chairs for Sale

4D massage chairs add a fourth dimension to the roller: besides moving up, down, side to side and in and out, the rollers change speed and rhythm, which is why buyers describe 4D as the most lifelike massage. We stock 17 4D models from Kyota, Kahuna, Infinity and Medical Breakthrough, from $4,599 to $17,999, on L-track, SL-track and S-track frames. Size matters more than the roller number, so check the user height and weight range first. Not sure 4D is worth it? Compare it with 3D in our best massage chair guide, or browse every model in full body massage chairs. Free US shipping and financing on most orders.

Is a 4D massage chair worth it over 3D?

A 4D massage chair is worth it if you want the massage to feel closer to human hands. A 4D chair varies the speed and rhythm of the rollers, while a 3D chair only varies depth. 4D does not automatically mean stronger pressure: how deep a chair presses depends on its depth range and settings. If you are new to massage chairs and mainly want relaxation, a well-fitted 3D chair covers most needs for less. See every option in our massage chair collection.

Which 4D massage chair should I buy?

Choose a 4D massage chair by body fit first, track second and features third. These five models cover the main buyer types in our 4D range (specs from each product page, checked October 2026):

What should I measure before buying a 4D massage chair?

Before buying a 4D massage chair, check three things: the user's height and weight against the chair's listed range, the room space when the chair is fully reclined, and the delivery path to the room. Taller users get more from a longer SL-track that reaches the neck and glutes. Most 4D chairs also recline toward zero gravity; compare reclining models in our zero gravity massage chairs range. Send us your measurements and we'll check fit before you order.

4D Massage Chairs for Sale: frequently asked questions

What is a 4D massage chair?

A 4D massage chair has rollers that move up and down, side to side and in and out, and also change speed and rhythm as they work. That fourth dimension is what makes the massage feel closer to a therapist's hands. Our massage chair FAQ on tracks and rollers explains 2D, 3D and 4D ratings in full.

Is a 4D massage chair stronger than a 3D chair?

No. A 4D massage chair changes the speed and rhythm of the massage, but how hard it presses depends on the chair's depth range and settings, not the roller rating. A 3D chair with a deep depth range can press harder than a 4D chair on a light setting. Choose by fit and depth range, then by roller type.

How much does a 4D massage chair cost?

4D massage chairs at Selected Comfort cost from $4,599 (Medical Breakthrough 6 Plus and 5 Version 2.0) to $17,999 (Kahuna Dios-1288 8D, a dual 4D model). Most of our 4D chairs are priced between $7,599 and $9,999. Financing is available on most orders through our financing partner, subject to credit approval.

Which 4D massage chair is best for tall users?

For tall users, choose a 4D massage chair with a long SL-track and a listed height range that covers the user. The Kahuna SM7300 lists users up to 6'5" and up to 360 lb, and the Kahuna Dios Flexa 181° has a 56" SL-track. Check the sizing on the product page before ordering, or send us the user's height and weight.

Are 6D, 7D and 8D massage chairs better than 4D?

Not necessarily. Chairs labeled 6D, 7D or 8D usually combine two roller cores, for example a 4D core plus a 3D core. They are worth it only if you will use their advanced programs regularly. Check the spec sheet rather than the marketing number; a well-fitted 4D chair covers most needs for less.

Can I return a 4D massage chair?

Most products can be returned within 30 calendar days of delivery if they are new, unused and in the original packaging, and assembly counts as use. Return shipping is paid by the buyer unless the item arrived damaged or the error was ours, and brand-specific terms on a product page take priority. Read our refund and return policy before ordering.
